pattern recognition & analysis from the left coast

Chris Arkenberg: I studied philosophy & neuroscience, and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology at UCSC. I worked at Adobe Systems from 1999 to 2008 where I helped design the Adobe Atmosphere immersive world platform and worked as a senior QE manager for Acrobat 3D & Flash, helping establish Adobe’s presence in the CAD manufacturing sector. Since leaving Adobe in 2008, I’ve done strategic consulting and am currently a Visiting Researcher at Institue for the Future tracking trends in technology, energy, and global systems. I am a co-founder of the Augmented Reality Development Camp and am on the strategic advisory board for Hukilau media. On the side, I surf, hike, play guitar, and produce electronic music while blogging and twittering regularly. My core interest is in studying the intersection of human culture & technology with complex living systems, and working to design effective solutions to large problems.

I live in Santa Cruz, California, with my partner, Andrea, and our 4 cats.
